 Prudence Halliwell was born on
October 28th, 1970 to Patricia Halliwell and Victor Bennett.
After Prue was just five years old, Prue’s powers were bound by her
grandmother as well as the powers of her sisters to prevent them from
being killed by a powerful warlock. This caused Prue to grow up not knowing
who or what she truly is.
Prue was always had mad at the fact
that she had to give up her childhood to help raise her sisters Piper and
Phoebe as her mother had died from a demon attack and her father left
them. All through high school and college, Prue was always the popular,
smart, and head cheerleader that everyone liked, even the football
captains.
Her education was something that
Prue never really had a say in. As she wanted to go to school for
photography, her grandmother felt that that it wasn’t a very good
reason to go to college and that it was a waste of time and money.
Instead Prue went to college for antiquity studies which eventually lead
to her employment the Museum of Natural History in San Francisco. While working at the museum,
Prue was involved with her boss, Roger. They were set to be married,
however it never came to fruition.
After Phoebe read the incantation
from the Book of Shadows, Prue acquired the power of telekinesis, which
she first used unknowing to her at the museum she worked for when she
told Roger of resignation.
Prue went on to go and begin work at Buckland’s Auction
House where she was a large asset. As Prue’s life went on, she
learned out to balance her private life and her Charmed life and
eventually came to terms with her destiny as a Charmed One. Eventually,
Prue quit her job and decided to take up a job that just happened to be
her hobby, a photographer. Not only was Prue able to find a job as a
photographer, but a photographer at 415 Magazine.
All through her life, Prue was mad at the fact that she sacrificed
her childhood to help raise her sister, whom she placed the blame
entirely on her father, Victor, and focused so much hate on him that she
effectively convinced herself that he was dead. However, this hatred was
no longer experienced by Prue when she learned how much her father
actually cared about her and that he had no choice, but to leave his
daughters. This bonding between the two of them never lead to an actual
relationship between them as Prue sacrificed her life and accepted her
destiny of a short life, in order to save her sisters Piper and Phoebe,
which eventually lead to them finding the fourth sister, a half-sister,
Paige.
A year before Prue died,
Leo taught her how to astral project, an ability that she later taught
Piper and Phoebe and in turn Paige. This ability became helpful during
Piper, Phoebe, and Paige’s battle against the demon Zankou. Prue
also showed herself that day, after her sisters assumed a new identity,
by shutting the door of Halliwell Manor with the aide of her telekinesis,
presumably as a ghost in corporal form.
